Tents in the Garden

Events at the Lee-Fendall House often require a tent, but visitors to the site rarely get to see what a tent looks like on the property. Above is a 30’x60′ tent with ceremony chairs set up on the south side of the tent.

The following events require the rental of a tent: standing events with more than 75, wedding ceremonies with more than 30 guests, and seated events with more than 30 guests. Two tents can also be put on the property for larger events. The photo above is from a wedding that had two tents to accommodate their 140 guests.

Tents provide shelter in case of inclement weather, but they can also be a focal point of your event. Lined tents, like the one in the photo above by photographer Len Spoden, are beautiful in the Lee-Fendall garden.

Tents with sidewalls can give a bit more shelter from the elements. The sidewalls can be removed if the weather improves.

But when the weather doesn’t improve, garden ceremonies are held under the tent, like in the above photo by Stephen Gosling.

Smaller tents are also lovely in the garden. Rent-All Center in Alexandria is our exclusive tent vendor.
