Personal Details

Carolyn and Brian’s fall wedding at Lee Fendall House was full of lovely personal details that made the day memorable.

From flowers arranged by the bride and her family to handmade banners, this event was simply beautiful.

Carolyn and Brian included some of their favorite foods, like dinner from District Taco, pie, and cupcakes.

This carefully thought-out wedding was fun, too! All of the advance preparation allowed the bride and groom to truly enjoy their day. Congratulations Carolyn and Brian!

It’s the small things

Small details can make all the difference in an event. These personalized napkins in a bright color were a small but fun touch. The squirrels tie in nicely with the Lee family crest, too!

Southern Weddings Challenge

We were so happy to host Petals Edge and Sweet Tea Photography a while back. They shot the beautiful images that are now part of Southern Weddings Ultimate Burlap Challenge. Check it out and be sure to leave a comment!

Behind the scenes

Caterers, florists, musicians, event planners, photographers, and the Lee-Fendall staff work together to make each event a success.

A good caterer will transform the Lee-Fendall house and garden in two hours and be completely prepared as your first guests arrive.

Caterers use screens to disguise their prep area in the garden. Setting up outside gives them fast access to the tent.

A day-of event coordinator can help set up personal touches, such as this non-traditional guestbook table tucked under the main stairway in the house.

Our director’s office doubles as our bride’s room. It has a large full-length mirror and windows with a wonderful view of the garden.

All of these spaces in the house and garden are uniquely suited to helping events run smoothly.

Ceremonies in the Garden

A wedding ceremony in the Lee-Fendall garden.

The Lee-Fendall House hosts all manner of events, including wedding ceremonies like the one pictured above. Couples may have a ceremony followed by their reception in the garden.  We also host ceremonies or receptions only.  However, many couples opt for the ease if having both in one location. Our garden and house provide a beautiful backdrop for both!

Prospective Lee-Fendall House renters often wonder exactly how to use our site for their event. The answer is, however they choose! We have some restrictions that protect the museum and garden, but otherwise the decisions are yours.

We are always happy to offer help and guidance, of course, but our flexibility allows you to create the event of a lifetime!
